Gear

Just got my Samyang 14mm f2.8 back from the repair shop. Works like a charm now. Did´nt notise the body was crooked when i bought it, the right side of the image was wery unsharp. Not anymore!

It feels right, but is so wrong. A battery grip and the huge Samyang 14mm on the A7r. Got a few more adjustments to do on the Fotga EOS adapter, then it will take 2 58mm B+W filter, and maybe a slim polarizer! 🙂 Thats was the main problem with the 14mm when i had it for the Canon, that it didnt take filters. A7 for president! (When i think about it, that would an alot more valid option then some others :P)

Nokton 42.5mm f0.95 crop and Chromatic Aberration remove

So yeah, this is as bad as it gets, sun high in the sky, blue bird, white reflective transperent cup, reflective background. Everything in this pic produce CA. This would be one of those times you should stop down to get rid of the CA , but who can resist the f0.95 right? :).

It took a couple of minutes to correct most of the purple CA in Photoshop, 1st pic is a corrected version and the 2nd is a 100% crop.

3rd pic is a non corrected and the 4th is a 100% crop of that one.

I usually dont bother/care about CA but in this case it totaly ruined the picture, and its not that big of a deal to correct when it gets bad.

mostly all i need to do (in my opinion) is decrease the saturation of purple in Lightroom and the worst is gone, and when it all turns to shit, i´ll use PS for a couple of minutes.

If you dont know how, just check Youtube.

Not easy shooting a running horse with manual focus and f0.95 😛

Got a couple of frames right though. Moore then i anticipated 🙂

Nokton Splitboarding

Splitboard-112

Just broke in my splitboard the other day. The feel was more like a noodle compared to my other board 🙂 Iguess thats gonna be fine when the snow softens up, i´we only tried it in the local ski slope so far.

The Nokton 17.5mm f0.95 is really awesome! 🙂

Finaly!

Finally i can post stuff again! All the pics are shot with the Nokton 17.5mm and Em-5.

There is some CA in most of the pics, mostly around the white edges in the images.

I reduced the highlights in the shots above in LR didnt try harder then that to remove the CA, alot goes away when i do that. Not all but most.

Dont usually bother more than that.
