Nokton 42.5mm f0.95 time killing.

Eye Lady Smoker Cow

Had some time to kill today when waiting for my number to come up at the police station (i am getting my passport renewed 😛 )

Like the topic says, they are all shot with the 42.5mm, all wide open.

Still amazed every time i use this sukker. Sharp as balls.

Sorry for the poor composition of the portrait pics, but i always get so stressed out after i ask someone if i can take their picture i loose all control.

All i try to do is nail sharpness as fast as i can and get out 😛

Hi Markus! Excellent photos! I’m also an EM5 user now for almost two years. Been scouting the Voigtlander 42,5mm because i really like the rendering and 3D pop. May I know what you use for your B&W conversion? Cheers and keep this site going!

Hi, Thanx for your comment! 🙂 I shoot RAW and i convert in Lightroom. No perticular setting, i just wing it.
So i really cant help you much, but i guess i tend to add contras, clarity and decrese highlights.

(Settings for the B&W shot of the skis. Exposure +0,73 Contrast +48 Highlights -26 Clarity +27 Saturation -100)

The rest is 0 or as original file. WB Auto.

You really should get the 42,5 if you want the FOV, cant imagine you will be disapointed, it is awesome! 🙂

    Cheers

Hi Markus, what is the best way you found to manually focus? I have just ordered this lens and EM1, my first micro 4/3 camera! Can’t wait to get my hands on, thanks

Think you made a good choise man! 🙂 I use the magnify function. I think it works awesome. For still objekts its not a problem, for moving you have to pratice a bit and its still hard, but thats how manual focus works i guess. i mostly use 5x or 7x magnify, and i you shoot at really short distance i use x10 magnify some thimes. i have custum set the F.n1 buttom to magnify. So i push that, get in to the “zoomed” square, fucus, then push the shutter buttom halfway or all the way dependig if i want to change the compsoition or not. Good luck!
