Top/bottom pic, shot with Notkon 17.5mm wide open. Middle one with Samyang 7.5mm @ f4. (And Om-d em-5) sharp as usual. some CA as usual. Nothing new.

This is not how its supposed to look like on the 20th of december. Its supposed to be white!

Well well, i got almost 500m today, probably good for my helth though.

Yeahhh, more skis (sorry about that) :p

Baged 999 meters today 🙂 Despite the crappy weather and snowconditions!

Just got my boots back from the shop, almost perfect now, they pushed the toe out alittle. My bigger foot needs a little more work, then we are home!

Both shot at with em-5 @f0.95 with the Nokton 17.5mm

Some CA around the text there in shot 2. Other then that, tack-sharp as usual.

Top shot:

Em-5+Nokton 17.5mm f0.95, Iso 1000, 1/20

Bottom:

A7 + Nokton 35mm f1.2, iso 1600, 1/30

Both shot at Aperture priority, WB auto.

Here is some sort of comparison between the A7 and the Em5 both with Noktons, both is wideopen, almost same angle and distance from the glass, about 40cm?

As you can see it could have been done alot more accurate, its a bit off.

We were just having a köpp (coffee) and talking while i was trying som casual shots with my buddie, Rickards new A7.

(He just started posting pictures and his thoughts on the A7 here: http://www.mstadfoto.se/blogg/ )

Sharp stuff! Creamy bokeh! 🙂

And my thoughts? Well, like i said, i just took a few pics while we had a köpp. So i have´nt really made upp my mind about much yet.

BUT Bokeh is totally awesome on the A7. In the comparison shots above, there is more detail and such in the 17.5mm shot, but with in body image stabilizer and a longer DOF then you get on FF @1.2, so ofcourse you will have more detail/sharpness. Dof on Full frame f1.2 at this distance is almost nothing.

There is less noise on the A7 thats for sure. And that totally blown out background, i cant deny thats what i want in my photos, perhaps the 2000 USD Ibelux 40mm f/0.85 is the way to go ? 🙂

The shutter button on the A7 is kind of saucy, the em5 totally wins on that regard 😉 And as far as looks go, i think the A7 looks awesome, lens with the adapter, maybe not so much.

But al in all it still looks good.

Weight  is about the same (em5 with part one of HLD6), more glass in the 17.5mm f0.95 then in the 35mm f1.2 but the A7 weighs more then the em5? (i am not shure about this)

And the shots above, to me, the A7s auto WB is alot better, and i think colors are to. I had to change the WB of the em5 quite alot befor it looked somewhat like reality.

But in the end the A7s colors still look better, more calm then the Em5 produce with the Noktons.

Stay tuned 2 www.mstadfoto.se if you are looking for more A7 shots!

Thats all folks!

Well the warm weather the last few days havent really been nice to the little snow we had, so the only thing close enough with any snow was Romme Alpin.

Got 1 ½ run befor one of the employees drove me off. “This is a work place, come back this weekend when we are open” Well mannered even when throwing some one out, thats the swedish way 🙂

Today the skis worked perfectly, quite a relief after the other day when i almost couldnt go in the lift without loosing my skis.

And as for the em5 and the lenses, they keep on delivering. Not really anything to whinte about. Sharp, saturated photos!

So we got some snow! 😀  And its almost gone 🙁 Kind of got some skiing done before its totally gone though! Winters in mid sweden generally sucks.

Forced the deer on to our lawn for a photo shoot, easiest place to find food i guess 🙂

And for the pics.

Top 2 shots: em5+nokton 42.5mm f0.95 @f0.95 1/400 ISO 200 (The slight milky Canon 50mm f1.8 II feel is due to the dirty window im shooting through, most apparent in shot 2)

Shot 3:  em5+nokton 42.5mm f0.95 @f0.95 1/125 ISO 2000 (only light source is the ceiling lamp, pitch black ouside)

Shot 4: em5+nokton 17.5mm f0.95 @f0.95 1/125 ISO 2000 (only light source is the ceiling lamp, pitch black ouside)

More Dynafit! :)

Couple of more shots of my newly mounted dynafit radical ST to my atomic automatics. Ready for whatever! 🙂

Cut the skins today to, so now all i miss is snow!!

Shot @f0.95 with Voigtländer 42.5mm f0.95 and Em-5. If you look at the bottom pic and at the top part of the binding you´ll see som CA, pretty much the only flaw of this lens.

Took a couple stoped down to @f1.8 with the 42.5 aswell, and its about as sharp as anything gets, the level of detail in the pictures is nothing short of amazing. Awesome, awesome lens! 🙂

Finally i mustered the curage to mount my Radical ST with inserts to my Automatics. I have been gnawing that bone fore a couple of months now. 😛

With some help from the good eye of my girlfriend Sofia they mounted perfeclty straight.

So lets hope their is no problems lurking undernieth awaiting me when i hit the mountain.

So as the epoxy is curing im going to enjoy my well deserved celebratory Köpp!  (coffee!) 🙂
